The Mercedes-Benz Vision V show car offers a new level of personalized digital luxury. Mercedes-Benz Vans aims to be a leader in digital experiences. The Vision V is a highly elegant, chauffeur-driven limousine. It provides a fascinating outlook on the future Mercedes-Benz VLS. The VLS will be a top-end segment MPV.
The Immersive "Private Lounge"
The entire "Private Lounge" transforms into an immersive experience space. This space has a 360-degree digital cocooning effect. It is an individual retreat for various activities. Passengers can use it as a movie hub, gaming hub, concert hall, office, or oasis of relaxation.
Retractable 65-Inch Cinema Screen
A retractable, 65-inch cinema screen is a main feature of the "Private Lounge". The screen is located under the floor. It glides up from a console when passengers are inside and doors close. This console features burr wood and Nappa leather. Passengers can watch the display extend through transparent slats in the floor. The screen separates the "Private Lounge" from the cockpit.
The cinema screen has 4K resolution. It displays videos and games with exceptional clarity and detail. The screen uses Dolby Vision HDR imaging technology. This provides richer colors and sharper contrast. A touchpad in the center console operates the screen. The screen can be extended and retracted from the floor.
Surround Sound and Visuals
A surround-sound system with Dolby Atmos provides perfect spatial sound. This system includes 42 loudspeakers. Exciters in the seats turn music into a haptic experience. Seven projectors in the headliner and floor expand the field of vision. The side windows become additional "screens". This creates a digital 360-degree experience. Ambient lighting adapts its colors to the music's beat. This enhances the cocooning effect.
Seven Interactive Worlds of Experience
The Mercedes-Benz Vision V offers seven interactive worlds of experience. These experiences give an impressive sense of depth. They invite passengers to immerse themselves.
- Entertainment: Passengers can watch a movie or listen to music. The cinema screen can be partially extended for a digital soundbar interface.
- Relax: Seats recline for relaxation. A calming landscape moves across the screen with soft music.
- Gaming: The MPV becomes a gaming hub. It offers racing games controlled with a separate controller.
- Work: The "Private Lounge" becomes a mobile office. The cinema screen acts as a virtual desk.
- Shopping: The interactive shop presents products as in a real store. You can buy tickets or choose a new ring.
- Discovery: Surround navigation is transmitted to the screen. It uses 3D game-engine graphics to show surroundings. Augmented reality projects additional information onto the camera image.
- Karaoke: Passengers can sing their favorite songs. An English song is now available for the U.S. stop-over.
Cockpit and Future Models
The Vision V's cockpit has a top-level digital experience. A Superscreen with three screens extends from pillar to pillar. The user interface and experience are tailored to individual preferences. Real-time graphics provide essential information. This includes the instrument cluster and surround navigation. The navigation displays the vehicle's surroundings in real time.
The Vision V gives an outlook on the future Mercedes-Benz VLS. Future Grand Limousines will be named Mercedes-Benz VLE and Mercedes-Benz VLS. The VLE will be the first model based on a new van architecture. This architecture allows for a clear distinction between Grand Limousines and commercial transporters. The VLS will expand the Mercedes-Benz MPV portfolio into the top-end segment. The VLE will start in 2026.
